We believe in the provision of a high quality educational service so our children continue to be competent, capable and confident.
The early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki, the Desirable Objectives and Practices, and the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998 are integral to our curriculum.
The basis for our planning and evaluation in kindergarten is that we notice, recognise and respond to the interests, skills, knowledge and needs of children.
The partnership with families/whānau and community in a community-based, non-profit centre is an integral part of children’s lives.
Smaller group size and lower child:teacher ratios mean quality experiences for children.
Children learn best in a safe, nurturing, happy and stimulating environment.
The rights and needs of the child as an individual should be respected – we celebrate the uniqueness of each child regardless of gender, culture and ability. We practice inclusive teaching and learning.
We are committed to the principles inherent in the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Staff will be professional in all respects of their practice.
Ongoing professional development is a part of being life-long learners and collaborative, reflective practitioners.
